rereading to see if it makes sense, looks right, sounds right, word powers, making a story come alive, talking about strong character feelings and using precise language to describe, using mentor texts to analyze character feelings, setting reading goals using reading powers, reading playdates mat, working with a partner to make decisions, fluency
Math- simple addition, writing numerals, Ten Frames. Identifying numerals through games, number

Our trip to the Flynn to see Gerald and Piggie was amazing. The companion workshop we did last week to prepare us for the show really helped us to understand some of what we were seeing and hearing such as tone of voice. We made a real connection to our reading work.

I hope that everyone had a fantastic vacation! Our trip to the Flynn to hear the magnificent VSO and VYO was just what we needed to get back in the swing of things. We are still using all of our snow gear, please keep sending in those snowpants. :)
