Reading- segmenting, substitutions

reading mat (easy-more challenging)
Math- simple addition, writing numerals, Ten Frames.
Identifying numerals through games, number

10-1 and 17-1, counting by 10’s and by 1’s to 100,
finger patterns 1-20, quick images
math skill work, decomposing numbers using
games.
Writing- K-Daily News, adding to pictures and words,
writing partners, word stretching, adding
details, perseverance for the tricky words,
writing true stories that include who, where,
What happened?, making writing readable,
leaving spaces, punctuation, using uppercase
letter at the beginning of sentences, partner
strategies, partners as teachers, giving and
receiving advice, rereading, adding details.
Social Studies- role play problem solving, asking for
help, friendship skills, stress reliever strategies
